A lot of students have their eyes on Tulane, which makes sense. It's a great school with a smaller campus, and students love it. But have you considered similar schools like Emory, University of Richmond, Case Western Reserve University, Davidson College, or Washington and Lee University? These colleges are worth your consideration (and might be a better fit for you).To learn more about how they compare to Tulane University, check out our blog and these schools.https://lnkd.in/e6e5wKEW#collegeapplications #collegeapplicationseason #highschool #sat #application #highereducation #senior #educationmatters #onlinecourse #collegeadmissions #collegeprep #collegebound #admissions #studentsuccess #testprep #satprep #collegeready #admission #highschoolsenior #collegecounseling #collegecounselor #collegeadvice #collegeplanning #collegeapps #collegeessay #collegeapplication #collegepreparation #collegetips #applyingtocollege #collegeadvisor

The SAT and ACT are poor indicators of the future academic and workforce performance of students. It’s time to throw these standardized dinosaurs into the ash heap. Students are more than a set of numbers. I know; I see them every day. South Carolina Public Charter School District SAT, ACT Keep a Foothold As States Rate High Schools

Each year, as our new cohort of Green Halo Scholars begins to dream of being college students, a common worry is shared among the group: can I afford to go to college? They hear the news of the rising costs of college and wonder if a four-year degree is attainable for first-generation and low-income students. Thanks to our college partners, we can provide our scholars with assurance that there are financially feasible college options for them. Our college partnership program is made up of institutions that commit to meeting full demonstrated financial need for at least one Green Halo Scholar per year. This generous commitment to providing need-based aid gives our scholars the certainty of having attainable and affordable college options as they begin their college search. Our current list of college partners include Augustana College, Elmhurst University, Hope College, Illinois Wesleyan University, St. Olaf College, and University of Rochester, with more coming soon. I appreciate these institutions for their commitment to access for first-generation and low-income students like the ones we serve. Through partnerships like these, we can ensure that our scholars have affordable college choices and a path to economic mobility.
